elf: shimmering facial whip

Highlights. Dewy but NOT oily. Natural shine.

How do you achieve this? Highlights had been an essential part of make up evolution. Before there was only matte, frosted and shimmery make ups. Now there are concealers, highlighters, glosses, stardusts and all that you can imagine!

I was getting this "i have to get one of those!" kind of feeling when I bought this. I had this for a month, tried it as a cheek highlighter and it works! Listening to how it is applied might be a bit way over the top. But this actually ads vibrance and a natural touch to your make up.

Be very careful though, if you have oily skin what you might need is powder to matte down the oily areas and doesn't need a highlighter at all! This is best done on during winter, or cold seasons. If you'll be staying in a fully air conditioned room this also works best.

Remember to keep your make up matte, oil plus shimmering facial whip is a crime. Best not to put on a moisturizing primer because it already adds a glow. Highlighters should be kept in the minimal side.

Lastly, if you think you're going to do a lot of photoshoot, don't leave the house without a sample shot on all angles! Flash and extra lighting affects the intensity of highlighters.

I only used this one on the blog because it is newbie friendly and affordable. :) ***

Avon: Ultra Luxury Lip Liner (baby pink)

Baby Pink (rose bebe)
with flash
without flash

Another amazing product from Avon!
Matte, light, easily glides on lips, long lasting and affordable!
If this is what you're looking for then here's a product that you must have in your bag.
I bought it with no intentions to use it. Just for the sake of having one in case I need it. This is one product that I never really bothered about. But this one is easy to fall in love with.

Originally this is a lip liner. Supposedly, it is used to line your lips to avoid the lipstick from bleeding. (means it keeps the edges of your lipstick in place) But the color is so pretty I decided to color the whole lips with it. The result, a pinkish, sun kissed color that looks very natural!

Try it!

Avon Healthy Make Up Hydrating BB Cream

This is another version of the BB Creams from Avon. Been using this during the cold months of December and January. I haven't written a blog about this right away because I'm quite confused with it's effect on my skin. It leaves a dewy finish but it doesn't last very long. After 2-3 hours my face start to look oily. I think if your skin is dry this will suit you better. But I prefer the other BB Cream of the same product. It also cautions not to stay too long in the sun even when using a product with SPF, Which confuses me all the more! But regarding the effects, if you stay indoors with maximum airconditioning this is okay. But if you're planning to do some shopping haul or sports, this is not the product for you. If you have dry skin try this, combination skin to oily skin try the other BB Cream from Avon (posted before this blog)
